WALT: develop fundamental skills required for athletics WILF: - Correct technique for throwing the discus and shotput Correct technique for long jump and high jump Passing the baton accurately in relay sprints I am proud of my running It was a challenge for me to do shot put but I managed to come second My next step is to get faster Next year I would like to do Better in running My best event was running because I tried my hardiest WALT: develop the skills or batting, bowling, throwing, and fielding in cricket WILF: - overarm throwing when fielding - catching with hands held like a basket - straight arm bowling - eyes on the ball and move the bat all the way through when batting The skill I am best at is batting because I learnt how to hit it My next step is to do better in overarm throwing

Anger

I was soooooooooo fustraded that I was to young to go swimming. Why were my big sister allowed to go. They were only a bit bigger than me. My mum and dad said that I had to Stay with my mums friend and I hated her, she was so mean she made my eat vegetables and they were gross. Once when I ate one I had to go to the toilet after. When she got back from the swimming I punched her in the face.

On one dark night I was sitting in my bed and I was hearing light footsteps and banging.My heart was thumping...I suddenly felt a shimmer down my spine. The sounds were getting louder. Then from out side I heard a scream. I opened up my Curtain and there was a white face looking at me with blood hanging out of its mouth. I screamed and shut the curtain,locked my door and hid under my blanket.I could hear the monster wacking my door. Suddenly I looked down and I saw a white ghost. But,I could still hear the banging so I realised that there was a ghost and a zombie. Next minute it was pitch black. The ghost had turned the light off and I could feel hands Around me.The hands were around my neck. Then I ran and was safe.I ran to my Granny's house and slept there and I was safe FOR THE NIGHT….

My holidays

In the two week holidays I went to my cousins house. They had a big, big farm which meant we did lots of walking. I went with mum,  dad,  Rhys,  Cerys and Briar. 

The farm was in Waihi and it was right by a beach.  The farm looked like it used to be a river. I heard thousands of moos from the cows. I smelt fresh ear as we walked up a steep hill.

after three days we went to the Beach it was a big walk but i run the whole way. I saw the beach it was flat and blue.  I heard the waves crashing on the sand. I smelt the salt from the sea. 

We played rugby on the sand our team won. We made big big sand castles and got water from the sea and dug a hole around the castle and put the water in. We got some wood to make a bridge.    

Maths workshops term 2

WALT:understand,make and use fractions in the context of volume and capacity.

In our workshops I choose tasks to help me practice making and using and writing fractions 

Matariki

Earth to Mars

Task: write a set of instructions on how to get from Earth to a planet of your choice.

WALT:

- a chosen planet’s location in the solar system.

- a chosen planet’s distance from earth.

- planets you will pass by to get to the chosen planet.

- obstacles that may be on the journey, e.g. Atmosphere, moons...

I was an Practitioner.

I often participate, communicating about my Inquiry learning.

Writing with Mr W.

We all went outside and we smelt stuff listened to stuff touched stuff and looked at stuff. Then we chose our workshops I chose poetry because I wanted to learn more. We looked at some Autumn words to. Then we looked on our iPad at some good examples to do with Autumn. We then had to write a poem about Autumn. Then Mr Wallace helped us to edit it and we re worded it. When we finished our poem we went outside and took a photo of something to do with Autumn. Then Mr wallace taught us how sketch. Then we sketched our photo mine was a tree. Then we added our poem on to our paper and put it on to my blog.

Next steps: a better drawing

Writing

There once was a duck could martin,a key could Susin and a jandel.  They were all best friends. One day Martin Susin and jandel went for a walk and they saw …. a  pig a dead sheep three doves and two cats. Then they went home and got food ready for their picnic, they had meat and pizza “that was yum” said Martin.why they were chatting they heard thump thump thump Martin slowly walked inside and saw a big big big dinosaur. He just froze in frightness. Key and jandel stepped in and fainted the dinosaur fainted to because he was so scared. Then they became best friends.

Walt: Put the pictures into our story and right about them 

Next steps: to right a better story.

Writing a letter

WALT: use random story starters to write funny letters,poems,invitations or story's 

Dear million year old raccoon 

I know you love playing with yoyos so I thought I would send you a yoyo and also since you are a raccoon I will send you a brown one with a picture of a raccoon on it. So you are a million ,I'm also going to send you a very very very very very high wheel chair so you can sit in your warm wheel chair with a cup of coffee and then you can yoyo your yoyo for ages.your yoyo will be able to glow up and it will beep if you get a high score. This is my story.

On Sunday I went fishing with my brother and dad.I casted my line in I waited for about two minutes. Then something started pulling my line. Then suddenly it pulled me in.it pulled me under and under!!!!!!!! Luckily I had a life jacket on and I floated. I was still worried I didn't know what it was.then it jumped.dad was worried he said “are you okay Sian?”I said “yes”then I realised it was a King fish.it was yellow and red.it was adout as big as a whale.dad lifted me up and we had caught it and brought it to our cottage in the mountains and had it for dinner….and we did have a big dinner.

We stood aboard the goldin queen.

The sun was shining happily.

The black clouds were stored with rain.

Rhys was on top of the cabin.

The blue fish leaped into the sky.

Dad was standing next to me.

The King fish was tugging my rod.

The sea was calm.

The sky was blue.

Dad and Rhys’s bait was still hanging lonely.

The steering wheel was still and cold.

Walt:this term for p.e. I have been in the Sharks.

In my swimming group our gouls have been to do 

a tumble turn and perform a simple rescue.
