WALT: write a discriptive paragraph about a devil fish. 

This term we have been reading a book called the island of blue dolphins, in this story karana( the main character) discovers a devil fish. Then we had to draw a devil fish based on how karana explained it, we also had to discribe the devil fish how we drew it.

Maths collaborative task

This term we have been doing a collaborative task. Every Monday for maths we would go to room 7 8 our 9 to do our task I always went to room 7

We had to have a group of four and finsh a task. Our task was to make 8 cards all together for when we sold our art in the hall. Here is a finshed product.

Pride

This term our value is pride. We had to make a pic collage about pride, in our pic collage we had put in a piture, sentence, definition

Descriptive writing

This term we have had to put our self in to a writing workshop. In my work shop we had to write three sentences our more of a piture that we had.

This is my descriptive writing.

The slow white running water fall dribbles down the side of the huge rock.  As the rocks crumble down they hit the side of the cliff  and crumble into the tiniest piece of sand. when they hit the water they make a loud sudden plop! 

Te Reo

This is my video of counting up to twenty in Maori. This term every wensday we would have to make a Te Reo Maori video 

I chose to count up to 20. Next step: to put more effort into my Video.

Cross country

                              CROSS COUNTRY 

 

Today was the cross country and I was so so nervous. Mr g said it was time to walk down to something park. Then we arrived and we had to sit down in our age groups.It was 12.03 am and the ten year old girls got called. Mr g said to do some stretches and he said the best stretch Is running on the spot. 

Suddenly Mrs me called out ten year old girls to the starting line. My Heart was racing then bang went the gun we sprinted off at the start. But about two meters from the starting line I tripped and fell flat on my face suddenly oooooh Georgia stood on me and after Georgia came everyone. After that I stood up and sprinted off to catch everyone. Then in the distance I could see everyone, so I took off and about 2 minutes later I had caught up with them. I slowly drifted through them and it was only Georgia in front. So we kept going.

 After 10 minutes of running it was 4 meters to the finishing line me and Georgia sprinted and in seconds we had finished. And I ended up coming second but it was good enough for me. After 2 days it was Saturday and it was the assembly. 

first was the certificates… then it was birthday calls… after that it was the cross country certificates first was 8 year old girls next was 8 year old boys after that was 9 year old girls then 9 year old boys soon after 10 year old girls so they called up Georgia first Sian second and Angel third! Then 10 year old boys 11year old girls and 11 year old boys and that was finished. So I went home with a cool certificate.

Why I like this art style is because it is all about nature and I love to make pattens with leaves, flowers, branches and more.

I have learnt that Kathy kliens first Mandala was made in 2010 at her family's farm.

I am looking forward to be able to make lots lots of mandalas with all sorts of nature.

Wetlands

Wetlands 

Wetlands are places were lots of different animals can live. in a wetland there can be lots of different plants 

Like grass,flaxs, moss and lots more. There is not much wetlands in the world in fact 96% of them have been destroyed 

And only 4% are still here. Now I'll tell you some animals that live in the wetland. There is Eels,fish,crabs,bitterns (birds),and lots of other species. So everyone look after our wetlands.

This term our values are responsibility I show responsibility by 1 packing my bag 2 doing jobs 3 cleaning my room 4 always on time 5 getting ready for school
